Kitchen garden

I have some exciting news from the magazine team. In the hope of bringing a little bit of the country into the city, we have just created a small vegetable garden on the roof of our offices in SE1. Planned and planted by the team, it’s a great opportunity for us to get green fingered during the working day.
So far we’ve planted raised beds and pots with some of our favourite salads, fruits and vegetables. All the plants and growing kit has been generously donated by Homebase who provided a mix of crops to inter-plant with flowers in the hope that it will look good and taste delicious.
Of course we’ll keep you up to date with what’s growing…or what’s not…plus maybe some ‘wildlife spotting’ moments. Anything grown we hope to sell and donate money raised to our workplace charity SPECAL. See below for some of our favourite planting-up photographs or watch this video clip for our first garden footage http://youtu.be/p8ja1BCyyvg

This is marvellous. I am a local resident and we need a lot more of this. Have you thought about having some bee hives too?
