Meet the team
I asked them ‘what’s your favourite thing about the country?’ and this is what they said…
‘Breathtaking views, market towns with lovely interiors shops, wildflower meadows and unspoilt, beautiful beaches such as my favourites in Northumberland,’ says Viv.
‘I commute from Hertfordshire to London, says Julie, ‘and every time I get the train home I feel the pressures lift with every mile north. But life in the country is also a great rejuvenator, giving me the energy for the trip back!’
‘What I like best about the countryside,’ says Claire, ‘is sitting outside in a dressing gown and a pair of wellies with a cup of coffee early in the morning and the loudest thing I hear is a sparrow’s wing beating as it flies overhead.’
‘I love the big skies, fresh air and solitude on long bracing walks - across fields, through woods, down to the sea,’ says Sarah.
‘I love how picturesque the countryside is with its seasonal colours all year round – from rolling fields of green and bright meadow flowers in summer, to the golden tones of Autumn leaves,’ says Tamara.
‘The fresh air, rolling hills, cosy country pubs and relaxed pace of life,’ says Caroline.
‘I love being out in the countryside to enjoy the ever-changing beauty of nature and wildlife through the seasons,’ says Columba.

I love your magazine!! I tore out a page this year of a beautiful kitchen. I want to paint my kitchen that color. I would love to know the color of the kitchen cabinets but I don’t know what month the magazine was from. It is page 45 “Be inspired by… Susie’s kitchen.”
I imagine the article was from Jan-May 2011. Thank you!!
Sharon
Hi Sharon,
Susie’s kitchen was in our May 2011 issue and, looking back at the feature, the grey paint colour she used on her cabinets was Antimony by Fired Earth.
Thank for your lovely comments on the mag.
Rhoda
